PBJ Pet Care Service is an open invitation to Northern Virginia families who need pet sitting services and want to help support their local animal rescue!

Our Beginning

PBJ's Pet Care Service was launched in 2019 as one path to support animals in our rescue network. By utilizing our services, your family's pets receive loving care from reliable, consistent, compassionate and experienced pet care providers. We then apply 100% of our profits to the Pets Bring Joy animal rescue mission. To learn more about Pets Bring Joy, please visit pbj.org.

Experience, Passion and Compassion

We know pets because we are pet parents ourselves! We treat your pet like one of our own. Our pet care providers have experience caring for pets in diverse situations from rescue to training to raising their own. We are here because we care.
We know it is important to be consistent in order to build the familiarity needed to forge that trusting relationship with your pet. That is why the same provider will greet your pet at every visit. You can rest comfortably knowing your pet is receiving the same caring love and attention at every visit.

Meet Our Pet Care Providers

Aly

Pet Care Provider
Aly began working and volunteering with animal rescue in 2013. She has many years of hands on experience giving nail trims, administering medications and giving comfort and love to all kinds of animals. Aly joined PBJ Pet Care Service at its very beginning as she was excited to share her talents with others and to support the Pets Bring Joy rescue mission.Aly walks dogs, pet sits (all kinds of pets), administers medications and gives cat nail trims.Aly has lived in Northern VA for 10 years. She has three amazing kids and is the happy pet parent of Snoopy (bunny), Dallas (guinea pig), Pepper (gecko) and one to two foster kitties at any given time.Aly’s favorite part of working for PBJ Pet Care Service is observing how different pet parents show their love. She has a passion for the imperfect and a strong desire to give the best life possible to all creatures.

Danielle

Pet Care Provider
Meet Danielle!Most of Danielle's experience comes from growing up with many dogs and cats, participating in pet training classes, and volunteering for Pets Bring Joy animal rescue. She truly enjoys the company that animals provide and understands that pets are a part of the family. Danielle works from home enabling her to provide plenty of time for dogs walks, play time, and lots love!

Helen

Pet Care Provider
Helen has been petsitting for over 20 years and was the first volunteer with Pets Bring Joy back in 2013. Helen just recently joined our fabulous pet care team and has experience caring for dogs, cats as well as all small animals from rabbits to birds, reptiles and fish. Helen has 20 of her own cats, chinchillas, hedgehogs, hamsters and fish which has made her experienced with giving pets medications, shots to nail trims. After retiring from the medical field after 30 years she now dedicates her life to caring for all pets both hers and others.

Mary

Pet Care Provider
Mary is a lifetime animal advocate, with 3 decades in the petcare profession.Mary loves dog walking & pet-sitting cats, birds, fish, reptiles & other small mammals. In addition, Mary has helped with the rescue of injured birds, squirrels & snakes and provided care for many woodland critters that have come to visit her through the years including deer, fox and racoon families. Mary also has experience in helping dogs and cats find their forever homes.

Grace

Pet Care Provider
Grace brings 6 years of pet sitting and a wealth of experience to the PBJ Pet Care team. She has cared for cats, dogs and small mammals. Her favorite time of the day is snuggling with fur babies. Grace is a recent graduate of GMU and holds a degree in psychology. She is available for morning and evening pet sitting in the Fairfax area.
